Most “what is my IP” pages stop at the address. The checks that decide whether an account survives are the boring ones: does your request carry proxy headers, does your browser clock match your IP country, and does WebRTC hand out a different address? This page tests all of them against your live connection, with the geo lookup running on our own server rather than a third-party API.

Six tests on the connection you are using right now. They answer the only question that matters when you buy a proxy: does it actually hide what you think it hides?

    How to read the result

    Four of these checks are the ones that get accounts banned, and none of them are about your IP being “clean” in some abstract sense:

    • Proxy headers. A transparent proxy adds X-Forwarded-For or Via to every request, which tells the destination site you are proxied before it even looks at your IP. A correctly configured SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy adds nothing. If you see this warning, your proxy is worthless for anything that matters.
    • Network type. Sites score the owner of your IP range. Hosting and datacenter ranges carry the abuse history of every VPS that came before you, which is why cheap datacenter proxies fail on logins while a residential IP sails through.
    • Timezone mismatch. The cheapest tell in the book. Your IP says Germany, your browser clock says Asia/Kolkata — no real user looks like that. Fix it in your OS or in your antidetect browser profile, per profile.
    • WebRTC. Browsers negotiate media connections over UDP, and a SOCKS5 proxy set in browser settings usually does not carry UDP. The result is that your real address is handed out by the browser itself while every other check looks perfect.

    One deliberate omission: we do not print a city or a map pin. Country and network operator data is reliable; street-level geolocation of an IP is mostly guesswork, and pretending otherwise helps nobody.

    After you change proxy: the 60-second routine

    1. Connect through the new IP and reload this page. Confirm the address changed and no proxy headers appeared.
    2. Check the network type verdict. Hosting where you expected residential means you bought the wrong product.
    3. Set your timezone to match the IP country — system-wide for a VPN, per profile in an antidetect browser.

    IP check questions

    Is anything I check here stored or logged?

    The page reads your connection details and shows them to you. There is no account, no history and no database of results — reload and the previous result is gone. Standard web-server access logs apply, exactly as on any other page you visit.

    Why does it show a country but not a city?

    Country and network-operator data for an IP is reliable. City-level geolocation is largely inference and is frequently hundreds of kilometres out, so we do not print a number we cannot stand behind.

    My IP changed but sites still block me. Why?

    Usually one of three things this page will show you: the new range is still hosting rather than residential, your browser timezone contradicts the IP country, or WebRTC is handing out your real address. Re-run the checks and fix whichever one is flagged.

    What is a WebRTC leak, in one sentence?

    Browsers set up audio and video connections over UDP, which a SOCKS5 proxy configured in browser settings normally does not carry — so the browser reveals your real address while everything else looks proxied.

    Do proxy headers mean my proxy is broken?

    It means it is transparent rather than anonymous: it appends X-Forwarded-For or Via so the destination knows you are proxied. Fine for caching inside a company network, useless for anonymity. A properly configured SOCKS5 or HTTP proxy sends neither.

    Which proxy type passes all these checks?

    Residential and mobile IPs pass the network-type check because they belong to consumer ISPs; datacenter IPs cannot. The header, timezone and WebRTC checks depend on your configuration, not the product — and this page tells you which one to fix.
