What Interstellar actually is
Interstellar belongs to a category of sites built for one specific situation: a student on a school network who wants access to something the filter blocks. Technically it is a web proxy with a games-and-apps front end — the server fetches pages and streams them back to your browser, so the filter sees traffic to Interstellar rather than to the blocked destination.

- A school-managed Chromebook or laptop. If the device belongs to the school, IT controls extensions, DNS and network settings. Nothing you install will survive, and nothing anybody sells you changes that. Web proxies are genuinely your only option, with the domain treadmill included.
